  Fall must do!

  Ort farms is very dog friendly. I took my my dog for our very first time for the afternoon visit. The ticket was $8 which included parking and the entrance to the park along with the corn maze. Dogs are not allowed on the hayride to the pumpkin patch. We had to walk but we didn’t mind it was a nice day outside. I took lots of pictures of my dog with pumpkins since I couldn’t decide which one to pick. Afterwards we walked across to the animals and train rides. Dogs are allowed to walk around the animals but not to get on rides. Definitely must visit if you’re in the area! There’s food options such as burgers, corn on the kobb, fries, and hot dogs we even tried the apple cider slushies.

  Great Fall Activities

  This is the only farm in the NYC area that we found still allowing dogs. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed, but there was still plenty of room to enjoy the day and to social distance. Ruby was allowed everywhere except on the hayride. We walked to and through the pumpkin patch, the corn maze, and the open air market. Across the street we visited food stands and they even had a grill station going. There were barn animals, pony rides, and an apple cannon - the cannon sounds were too much for our pup so keep that in mind if your dog doesn't like thunder-type sounds. All in all a really fun afternoon!

  Fall Fun (with our four legged friend!)

  We weren't actually looking for a dog-friendly farm when searching for a place to celebrate autumn. After some research we settled on Ort because it had so many different activities available, and when we noticed on the website that it was in fact dog-friendly, we brought Duke along without a second though. The farm is large and even though it was really busy it didn't feel crowded. Duke was welcome in the corn maze, on the hayride (the website says dogs might be turned away but all the dogs we saw were allowed straight through, Duke loved sitting on the hay bales), in the pumpkin patch, and all around the farm. We also enjoyed the apple cannon while Duke watched nearby (tip, the line for this moves much more slowly than the line for the hayride so head here first if the line is short). They also have a train and pony rides for little ones, as well as a monster truck. The concession stand was adequate, everything was reasonably priced and it was so fun to experience it all with our pup. Staff was friendly, grounds were clean and well kept, parking was plentiful. We will certainly be back next season.
