This dog park was great! It was a good size & the dogs were friendly. Be aware that the big dog park floods & is muddy after a good rain.

I’ve gone several times to this park with my small dog and have never had a problem. Never have I seen a mean dog there, especially the pits. All have always been gentle and kind along with the people there.

Selfish large dog owners use Small dog park when large dog park is closed. Not fun for small dogs

Shameful comments about Pits. Detroit - go back home.

I went to Steele Indian School Dog Park for the first time today, (Sunday afternoon). It is large with several trees around the outside and a few picnic tables. It was very muddy by the water station with a huge mud puddle that several dogs laid & rolled in. Thankfully, my dog didn't. The people were very nice & there were several pit bulls came & went. Everyone of them were well behaved & played well with all of the other dogs.

Lady pitbulls are killers and only pscychopathic drug dealers and pimps own them, get a life or maybe a komodo dragon so it can have you for breakfast

I have two pitbulls and they just want to run and play and one of them is really too lazy so after running for about five minutes - he is done. :-) I have gone to this park quite a few times and it really depends on who is there. I had one instance where I was literally just getting out of the car with the dogs and everyone looked and said "oh, pitbulls" and starting leaving, which is fine with me until one woman started cursing at me and my daugher and waited until she got to her car and called us "cxxxs." I was flabbergasted as neither me, my daughter or the dogs had done/said anything wrong (we just let her go and welcomed it). At least the others that did stay in the park were sympathetic and couldn't believe the attitude of some dog owners. I never went back after that experience - so I guess they (rude/ignorant people) got their way in the end. What is funny is that the lazy boy is a bit of a wimp and gets bullied by other dogs (a little embarrasing for a pitbull). LOL
