    Fantastic views, beautiful forest

My Yorkie and I enjoy the a short trail. Perfect length if you stop to sniff a lot. Some of the best views in Monterey.

    Jacks peak county park

Stunning views, plenty of easy trails and picnic tables, but I would caution about 4 days after I went hiking there in shorts I was diagnosed with Lyme disease which is very rare, but is from diseased tick bites. Good thing I went to the doctor right away. Yes, a good doggie park.

    Stunning Views, Many Options

This park offers over 10 different trails, all shorter than 1.2 miles. It makes it easy to do as little or much as you wish. Start your morning off with the Skyline and Jacks Peak trails...both have stunning views of Monterey Bay. Parking is $4 on weekdays, $5 on weekends and Holidays. I went on a Monday from noon to 4pm and only saw a handful of people, many of which had pooches. Do be cautious of the poison oak that is flanking virtually all of the trails.
