    Visit while camping nearby

I take my 3 pups when we go camping nearby. it’s a big space and lots of chairs. only thing that would be nice is a walking path and obstacle course for pups to play on and learn. otherwise it was quiet and shaded in areas.

    Nice Park

Lots of space and not busy (4 or 5 dogs) mid Tuesday morning. Plenty of room to run and sniff. The park closes weekly on Wednesday’s for clean up.

    Dirty and Dangerous

It has been some time since our last visit BECAUSE a man who was there pulled a hunting knife from a scabbard on his ankle and brandished it at my wife. We called the sheriff and after talking with the guy the deputy told us "He (the guy with the knife) was us kidding." Hmmmm.... we revisited with the deputy's supervisor who was apologetic but said he could do nothing. Well... Florida law is very specific, with or without a carry permit, it is unlawful to carry a concealed weapon into a public park and a hunting knife strapped to an ankle is a concealed weapon.

Adding the that the "regulars" there bring their lawn chairs where they sit and visit while ignoring their dogs. If you call to their attention many, not all, that their dog has pooped the begrudgingly get up and pick it up. Also, the concrete waste containers seemed saturated with filth and stunk terribly.

Dangerous and dirty so we have not and will not go back. That's too bad because for a while it was a very nice place, clean and safe, to bring dogs. Lee County officials told me they had only 3 agents/rangers to patrol ALL the parks in Lee County. Therefore they hit this one 1-2 times a year.

    DIRTY

Unfortunately, I do not have anything nice to say about this dirty dog park. Took my dog expecting to enjoy some play time in a somewhat large space, and stepped in dog feces the moment I got there. I know you can't always watch your dog if you're chatting it up with someone else, but it was everywhere. As if the park is not checked on by the city. Again, I think that's incredibly rude and ignorant to not pick up after your dog, especially when someone else wants to walk around with theirs. With that said, I decided it was better for us to leave. Will not be returning.

    Lots of Room and Shade

Brought our dog there 2 weeks ago. There is plenty of water, tennis balls and shade. A nice feature is the plastic chairs as you can move them and sit wherever you want. There is a small and large dog side with a secure double gate entry way. Plus there is a dog bath right outside.

    fantastic

We are new to SW Florida and were looking for a fun place to bring our almost 2 year old dog. We pulled into a park that looked like a country club. It had frisbee tennis, and a playground, and other activities that I can't quite remember but that's not the point. The doggie area had a small/shy dog area and a large dog area. Although our puppy was large for his age we didn't know how he would react to a new area. We chose the small/shy dog side. We actually ran into one of our good friends and I think our pup made a few. Anyway I will definitely come back and bring the kids!!!

    Safe, friendly dog park

We brought our two dogs here on the way to fort myers. this dog park has two areas one for large breeds and one for the small guys. we used the small guy section which had plenty of space. it was unusual but instead of benches they had plastic chairs sprawled out every where but it was actually better because you could move and choose where you wanted to sit. the park has lots of trees and wooded area so that made it fun for the dogs to go through instead of the basic open field concept that you usually find. also they had poop bags and a water fountain. however the rinse are was on the large dog side so if you wanted to use it you had to cross over, very awkward design. the only other complaint i had was that they seemed to have a lot dirt area with no grass. they need to put down some seed. the dogs didn't mind though a lot of them like to dig and get dirty. best part of the park was the crowd, every one was extremely friendly. i will definitively go there again.
