    Great area!

I rescued a 6yr old Siberian husky and she had a caged life before coming to me. It was GREAT to let her get out and RUN FREE! She was AMAZING with all the dogs she met! Thank you Janesville!

    Too much LONG grass!!

Years ago the park was decent for Janesville however, the people mowing think the area is a nature preserve and not a dog park. The trails are curved and not straight therefore, cannot toss a ball a long distance. The long grass is horrible because there isn't a wide enough trail to walk or again, toss a ball for large dogs.
It would be better to have a wide open area about an acre for dogs to freely roam, train them, etc. WORST thing: people PICK UP YOUR POOP!! Take some pride in this park and consider the health of others.

    lets cool down

I stopped going because some of the dog owners would get very upset if other dogs played with their dog. It was weird, I thought this park was to socialize dogs, let them play with each other, this park is not a place for isolation dog training. Also, ease up on dogs that jump on each other, up grading dog play, or dog socializing to aggressiveness is unfair.
And please, please be more excepting, patient and tolerant towards pit bulls, for heavens sake.

Go to Palmer Park or. Milton not Paw Print Park

Why are there separate areas for large and small dogs and the large dogs are not allowed to play with small dogs? The woman policing this park has no business being there. Small dogs need to stay in the small area because their owners don't know the difference between a large playful dog and an aggressive one!

    Good park, Terrible park police

My dog and I love the park however, the woman that polices the park is extremely rude. 2 of the 3 times I have been to the park the same woman has come up and asked for our dog tags. She is very rude, aggressive and demeaning. I wish I did not pay to use this park because this woman makes me not want to use it. I will go to Milton next time.

    Ms

I have a small dog, 6 lbs, and there weren't any small dogs the day I went. That is the only reason I give it 1 bone. Otherwise if I had a bigger dog, it would be a 5 lb rating.

    Wonder Place

This is a wonderful park. I take my 7 month old pup there every evening to get her run and play time with the other dogs. It also gives me a chance to meet other dog owners in the area.

    disapointed

I wrote on here before and gave it a bad rating because noone is ever in the small dog area and its been 5 months now instead of 4 days and still I have seen no dogs in the small dog area. Im very disappointed.

    Where are the dogs

The park it self is a great park however where are all the dogs? I have a small dog that I want socialized and so I bought her a liceneces early at 4 months and bought her park permit and took her to the park to make friends and there has been no dogs, we have gone everytime of the day on four days and nobody is around. Very disappointing considering I had spent $30.00 for nothing

    It's a nice park...but...

I recently took my dogs to Paw Print Park. I love how big it is. I love the fact that they can run and play together. I just hate the fact that there are so many weeds. They really need to mow it. I was told they they arent goingto mow it ever. They want it to look like prairie grass. That's never going to happen. The only thing that is happening right now with all those weeds is breeding of mosquitoes. MOW THE PARK! and then I will THINK about bringing my dogs back there.

    Thanks for the vision

My wife and I were early contributors to help make Paw Print Park a reality. We contributed $1,000 cash and also ordered two of the bricks to be placed at the entrance. We were captured by the enthusiasm of Sandy Milhouse who was a real spark plug to make this project happen.

For the first time, Carol and I stopped at Paw Print Park yesterday. We never had occasion to take any of our dogs to the park as we live on a farm and have plenty of room for our dogs to roam. What a wonderful place! Every time we drive by, we see cars in the parking lot. Today we stopped and saw firsthand the wonderful two areas, one for large and the other for small breeds and how wonderfully the trail in the large dog area meanders way back farther than you can see.

We found our two bricks, honoring three dogs and one cat, Puppy, Krissy, Pumpkin and Sandy, all adopted from the Humane Society. They are all gone now. Sandy, our latest dog died this past spring.

We’ll adopt another dog. But for today, seeing our precious pet's bricks and viewing the happy dogs and owners enjoying Paw Print Park reminded me to say a big thank you to everyone who had the vision to create this wonderful pet park.

    I loved Paw Print Park!

I just got back from taking my dog Buddy to Paw Print Park for the first time. I've never taken him to an off leash dog park before so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. When I first arrived my dog was really excited to be in a new place. I opened the gate to the large dog area ( my dog is a lab/dalmatian mix) and I didn't unleash my dog at first. I just wanted him to get used to the area. I saw other dog owners with their dogs and one dog actually came up to say hi to Buddy. They got along just fine. I eventually unleashed my dog and he had so much fun walking around and sniffing the new smells. The other dog owners and dogs seemed so friendly too! It's beautiful landscape and its such a big plus that it's fenced in. I have bought my year pass and will be going back often. This park is great!

    Our dogs love it

Our 2 labs love to walk so paw print park is the best way to exercise them. We walk them off lease usually 2-5 times around the path. I find it relaxing walking with them off lease--no tugging or pulling and since the entire area is fenced they are safe from hazards. The other dog owners are friendly and sometimes they meet other ogs to play with. It is the best dog park ever for us and our pups.

Paw Print Park - Paws Up!

As a founding member of the Friends of Paw Print Park, I may be a little biased, but this is a great asset to the city of Janesville, WI and a wonderful addition to Janesville's long history of pride in our beautiful parks. Built on land donated by the city with money raised by a small but dedicated group, this park boasts 17 acres of fully fenced fun for your dogs. Even small ones can romp in safety in their own adjacent area, protected from the rough play of larger dogs - or if they are adventurous, they can head over and run through the tall grass and up the gentle slopes with the big dogs. A few mown paths help human companions stroll in comfort through the beautiful tree-surrounded landscape on Janesville's southern border. Easily accessed from the Hwy 11 bypass, just a greyhound sprint away from the intersection with Business Route 51, this park is a short drive way from Beloit, Clinton, and surrounding communities. Daily fees of $2.00 per dog are payable on site (be prepared to show your proof of payment to the Bark Ranger if she asks!) or you can apply with Janesville Leisure Services for an annual pass, for only $15.00. Come and enjoy our beautiful park soon!
