    Lets be honest....

This is a solid dog park. Notice that the only ratings below 3-bones are due to people's actions, not the park itself. The same bad experiences you may have here, are a potential at all dog parks

    For the facillities themselves-
    +Plenty of parking
+Two areas for different sized dogs
    +Good size
+Lots of visitors coming in and out
    +Well-maintained
+Water hose and cleaning area before you hop back in the car
-No agility items except a picnic table the dogs like to jump on to
-No exceptional features (stream/river, food service, etc.)

In general, this is an above average park for the area.

    Nice but basic park

Olde Isaak Walton dog park is a nice, medium-sized park. It features a water pump and separate area for small dogs. It's a pretty basic park though with no agility equipment or unique features.

    Bad dog owners

I visited this park several times when visiting a friend who lives close, and all I can say is people do not watch there dogs! They let their aggressive dogs crowd the gate and jump on any new dog coming in. it happen 3 times with the same collie. nice looking park but not comfortable bringing my dog there anymore because of how the people just let there untrained aggressive dogs there.

    Enter at your own risk

I have been taking my 2 year old collie to the dog park almost every day from the time she was 9 months old. I waited until she was spayed and completely vaccinated prior to going. We started gradually and I generally went in the late morning when there was a good group of dogs and owners that were proactive.
Then recently people started to bring unaltered male dogs in there and each time...Misty got jumped on and attacked.although
It is a real nice facility with plenty of shade and water available.

    Great Local Park

When I moved back to Leesburg, VA and learned there was a local dog park, I couldn't have been happier! I have a golden retriever who loves to play with other dogs, as well as the people! This park is very close to our home; therefore, they get 5 stars for convenience, but 4 stars because of all the dirt & mud from the park being nothing but mulch. She always has a blast when we go there to play and we are so blessed to have a dog park so close to home! We visit quite often and will continue to do so as long as we live in this area!! Well worth dealing with the dirty paws and the occasional mud bath! Thanks for opening this park!

    Great park.

I visited this park today with my 1 year old Lab mix. There were tons of friendly dogs for him to play with, and plenty of space for him to run and act goofy. There is no grass, which is why I gave this a 4 instead of a 5. I'm not a fan of the bark / mulch covering. There is a faucet for water, and 2 tables, with a few benches. Where the dog park is located is also nice, it's within a bunch of trails and next to a lake and creek. There are two grassy areas where your dog can be on leash. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here and will be bringing my pup back again!

    Day of fun!

The weather is getting warm and my pup needs socializing! This was my first time bringing a dog to this park, and I had an excellent experience! My pup is only 5 months old, so it was great to get him around a bunch of different dogs of various ages and sizes off the leash. Some do play rough, so it's good to go in there with a watchful, but relaxed attitude. I thought it was an excellent way for him to play while learning his boundaries with the other animals there, and I thought it was a great group of dogs. A lot of the dogs seemed to know each other, and while some played rougher than others, and some took the opportunity to express their boundaries from time to time with a snarl or bark, none seemed overly aggressive. All in all, my pup had a great time, and I will definitely be back!

Great open area to run free

The Leesburg VA Dog Park is a great open area to run in. The grass has been mostly replaced with mulch to accommodate the growing number of dogs each day. The size and openness of the park prevents any feeling of over crowding and the newly introduced dog wash area is fantastic.
