  Spacious dog park for large dogs, but small dog side is very small

  The Lincoln Dog Park has a spacious large dog side with water fountains and decent shade in the summer. There are often donated tennis balls to play with and extra bags to clean up if youve forgotten your own. Parking can be tricky if you have any mobility concerns (no parking spots near the park, just side street parking) but the entryway is flat and easy to enter. Despite the efforts of volunteers, many dog owners do not clean up after their dogs and if you walk the trail along the interior (4 times doing the perimeter of the dog park is a mile!) you’re almost always bound to step in something. In the summer, it’s not uncommon for some owners to bring puppies that are way too young to have all of their vaccinations over to the large dog side (on three separate occasions we met seven week old puppies of various mixed breeds) so use caution. while the large dog side is great, the small dog section is, well, small and lacks a lot of the features of the big side.

  Usually some other dogs there and ample space, but too many don't bother picking up the waste.

  Small and Crowded

  An area about the size of a large backyard fenced in and packed with dogs! No one has control of their dog so they’re all barking at the gate when a new dog arrives, extremely overwhelming!!! No trail, no pond, just a fenced off square of grass with a few trees.

  Irresponsible dog owners

  Unfortunately, there is a considerable amount of dog waste at the park that isn't cleaned up by anyone. There's also no garbage in the park to drop the waste (the bins are outside the park). There are many dog owners who stand at one end of the park and don't clean up after their dog or monitor it's behavior. If responsible dog owners are there, it's better, but there's still dog waste that's not picked up by anyone. If you can tolerate irresponsible dog owners, it's a good location and nice park. Unfortunately, irresponsible dog owners is the norm.

  lots of room to roam

  There's a fenced in area for smaller dogs and a fenced in area for bigger dogs. Plenty of fenced in area for all the dogs to roam in & play fetch.
