  Great place to walk your dog!

  The paved path from the U of L boathouse down to Joe's Crab Shack is a great walk. Plenty to sniff, dogs can walk on grass, there is a spot to step in the river, plenty of trash cans for waste bags, and many shady spots to take a rest.

  Not a Dog Park

  This is not a dog park so it's not surprising the planners did not incorporate dogs' needs into the design (such as shade, etc). However, had dog owners who walked to bridge when it first opened been responsible enough to pick up after their dogs we could all still bring ours onto the bridge. I give the park one bone simply because it is NOT a dog park and this site is for rating dog-friendly places.

  Dogs not allowed on pedestrian bridge

  Dogs only allowed in grassy area at the pedestrian Bridge. If u go to the actual waterfront park which is by Joe's Crab shack theres a larger park to walk ur dog in

  Not Dog Friendly

  Hot pavement without much shade except where there are no dogs allowed. Also no dogs allowed on the bridge or near the playground or picnic areas.

  Cannot Go On Bridge With Your Dog.

  Don’t walk up the ramp to bridge. Big sign at top saying no dogs. Lots of paved area to walk on the Louisville side though.
