Decent, but owners are not smart

Of course you’re going to have the many owners who are glued to their phone while they are oblivious to what their dog is doing. The other problem is those who bring nearly 1 yr old dogs to the park with the first sentence out of their mouth being “I don’t know how he/she is going to react”. If that’s your first thought, you shouldn’t be bringing them to the dog park first. Your first stop should be a daycare, kennel or obedience school where the environment is more controlled. This way your dog who wasn’t socialized isn’t starting fights.

    Infested with ticks

I would not recommend this park. It was a nice, small, manageable area but after leaving each of my two dogs had multiple ticks all over them. They each have preventative measures but this place must be absolutely infested to result in the issue I experienced. I will not be going back.

    Never return

This park is mulched, which is hard on the dogs feet. some grass, but not well maintained. It is small, but very shady. First time we went my dog was attacked by a Shepard mix, and cut my dog's ear. as soon as I asked for proof of vaccination the guy took his dog and left. sketchy here. poor dog park, at best.

    grim

i really wanted to like this dog park because it was so close to home. i've been about half a dozen times now and don't think ill go back.
I'm new to the area and started going to this park with my small dog, she's only about 25lbs. though they have a small dog area and a large, most of the owners seem to take their small dogs to the big dog side. which didn't cause any problems in my eyes. my pup enjoys playing with any size dog, she isn't picky.
its never the dogs that turn me off about these places, but their awful owners. making rude, snarky, comments about other peoples dogs.
the park is also located near a basketball court with burnouts walking around and teasing the dogs through the fence. my most recent and last trip there i asked two little crackheads to stop staring down dogs and throwing their basketball at the fence.
lastly the park is dirt. your pup will be filthy and muddy with poopy paws.
    some grass would be nice?

    Theft at a dog park...

Just moved to the altamonte springs area and wanted to find a dog park near by and tried out this one with my pup today. It was a big area for large dogs but I didn't like how it was all mulch and no grass. By the end of our playtime my dog was full of mud and that was just from playing fetch. Owners that frequent the park were not very friendly and as we were leaving I realized someone had stolen my MAC water bottle... I mean who steals a pregnant womans water bottle?? The park and pups weren't bad but wasn't keen on the people who go there don't think I'll be back.

    First experience...

My boyfriend & I took our 2 larger dogs to this dog park and we will definitely be going back! We both just moved to the Orlando area and have been cramped in a hotel so decided to give this place a try - neither of our dogs have ever been to a dog park. The dogs loved it! We kind of expected a huge grassy area, which was a little dissappointing, but its also very shaded. I recommend a bath afterwards as they both got a little dirty and sandy! :) Overall a great place for your dog to burn off some energy!
