    Best Park Ever!

This park is free and open to the public. There are no shelter dogs kept there ever and you don’t have to go inside and sign a waiver. The building is gone. There are rules on the gate. The park is picked up everyday by volunteers and people are doing much better cleaning up after their own dogs. Plenty of doggy do bags in 3 locations and trash is emptied daily into the city waste receptacle for weekly pick up. My dogs love it here! One is medium size and she runs and runs and runs! Then she goes swimming! Our little dog stays in the small dog area a moxies around. Lots of shade amd fresh water available for the pups. Not crowded. Perfect!

    Great park

We were here on a Sunday, so no shelter dogs. Relatively large area with a pond, which was a real treat! Very clean with manicured lawn, shade trees along edge. One of the better dog parks we've been to.

    Favorite Dog Park

Been to several Dog parks around OKC and this is both our favorite. Not ever crowded, has an enclosed pond, lots of land, and is hidden away from the main road. The only dog park where my dog gets the zoomies even if there’s no other dogs. There’s an animal control that shares the property, and you can tell that people regularly clean the park. The only thing that’s bothersome is the poop stations are not functional so I have to remember to bring my own bags and then leave the park to throw them away. Totally worth it though.

    Hidden Gem!

Best dog park in all of Oklahoma! We were there at 4:45pm on a Friday afternoon and never saw another dog. Had the pond with the ducks, frogs and turtles all to ourselves.

AWESOME HUGE DOG PARK w/ POND.

Oh, wow. Recently remodeled,, tidied up. What a find. POND! Not crowded. Huge area for big dogs to run. Small dog area is big too. Absolutely worth checking out. Mature trees. Oldest dog park in Oklahoma and a board of dog-loving people oversee it. Great leadership, community backing. (Did I say AWESOME?)

    Bit By Unsupervised Dog!!!!!

There were unsupervised dogs in the big dog park area. We went to the smaller dog area because they were intimidating. We were petting some of the dogs through the fence and one of the dogs snapped at us so we decided to stay away from that dog. A few minutes later that same dog BIT ONE OF US through the fence on the hand while we were petting another dog.!!!!!!!

We went inside and told them that we just got bit by one of their dogs in the park. They barely even had a first aid kit, a bandaid, or anything to help us with the open wound. Definately dont recomend going there. If we would have we into the bigger side there is no telling what would have happened to us or our dog!!! Dont go here if there are unsupervised dogs in the park.

    Good dog park!

I take my dogs here frequently and they both love it there. It is large and lots to explore. yes, there are "land-mines" and so watch your step. With the shelter dogs and other personal dogs, it's great socializing for my two dogs. The shelter dogs are in the park only a couple hours, and do not cause any problems. So... it's better than not and my dogs get to have a snarfing good time!

    Meh...

This dog park is closest to where I live, but I would prefer to go elsewhere. It is very large and in recent years volunteers have really improved the main area, but I really dislike the way they leave shelter dogs in the park unsupervised. Unless I have someone with me or there is someone else in the park, I will not stay to play with dogs I don't know. They also don't have a good system for picking up waste-you have to bring your own bags or find the scooper hidden somewhere in the park-so it is full of landmines.

There is a small area for smaller dogs and agility equipment, but it is usually filled with questionable-looking shelter dogs, and the equipment is in SERIOUS disrepair and unsafe for doggy use. They also have a pond, so if you're not interested in hauling a sopping wet dog home with you in your car, you should probably avoid this dog park.

    Nice park, but...

The dog park itself is pretty nice. Large fenced area with lots of grass and a pond for swimming, benches and a little shade on the periphery (new trees have been planted that will provide nice mid-park shade in a few years). Be aware that this park is part of the local dog shelter, and they request that you register and sign a waiver at their offices before using the park (the park is free, donations are accepted if you are so inclined). We were there after the shelter had officially closed (5:30pm) but they still allowed us to register and use the park. There is a separate agility area with equipment, but unfortunately there were 6 or 7 of the shelter dogs being kept there and none of the staff was around to ask if they were friendly. There were also no other non-shelter dogs at the park, so my dog had no one to play with. Also, there were lots of land mines - I can't say whether other users or shelter staff were not cleaning up after their dogs but watch your step! Maybe this park is better during the day, but we felt like we were intruding on the shelters operations and did not stay for long. If we are in this area again we will probably go to one of the other dog parks in Oklahoma City rather than visit this one again.
