Rita's Ranch Dog Park at Scott Park

Bring your pet to play off leash at Rita's Ranch Dog Park at Scott Park in Iowa City, IA. This 3-acre fenced area features two separate sections and includes a Lucky Pawz Playground. Please note that the park is located in a water retention area, so all or sections of the park may close following a heavy rain or thaw. Day passes are available for a fee paid at the park entrance, otherwise an annual permit can be obtained from the Animal Care and Adoption Center. Visit Website

No issues - he had a good time
Visited the park and my dog had a lovely time. We had no issues with loiterers etc. There are three large, level fenced areas with beautiful grass. There is water available and even a spigot to wash your dog. Very minimal shade though.

lock you car!
Beautiful park, unfortunately there are some low lifes hanging around the parking lot. I had my wallet stolen out of my vehicle. It was an oversight on my part to have forgotten to lock the car, but being out of state and not having a driver’s license is a royal pain in the ass. Be sure you lock your car at this place!!!
