    Great Dog Park!

Me and ginger try and come everyday! The park is always clean and provides water and doggie bags. There’s a separate area for small dog and big dogs. There’s a bathroom and kids playground near by! This park is on the smaller size but still a nice park. My only complaint is if you go regularly there’s drama and people talking but people will be people. So if you are looking for a fun day for you and your pups, this is a wonderful place and you can walk down to Neighbors Ice cream and get a free cup of ice cream for your pup at the outside window!

    Large and Clean

It always amazes me when I read reviews and the poor ratings are based on how well your dog got along with the other dogs. I base my opinions of dog parks based on the facility, not how I or my dog got along with others ( I am a responsible owner with a very friendly dog) I have traveled to many parks in the USA. This is one of the better ones. This park is large with separate areas for large and small dogs. There are dog fountains, a dog wash, lots of picnic tables and benches. The park is among many shade trees so you don't have to sit in the sun. The soil and shade makes growing grass very difficult. The park management has placed clean wood chips in the area so the ground does not get torn up from use. The park is clean with lots of trash bins and doggie waste bags. 2 paws up in my book!

Don't bother. not worth it. Port Orange fails again

There's some that ruin it for all. Seems to be the same ignorant & irresponsible ppl bringing aggressive dogs that have no business being there. Most don't have current rabies tags or any at all. When their dogs aggressive or bullying they say the dogs "just playing". People either take their dog to the other end or just leave. No grass; just dirt & sand and mulch that smells like dog piss. Some ppl don't bother to p/u after their dog. The city has volunteers that drive around; they should be walking the park a few times during peak hours. Yet another EPIC fail for Port Orange. This park could be nice. Dog parents pay taxes too.

    Resident

This park used to be nice from the pics I have seen, but now 11/02/14 it is all dirt and bark mulch. My dog needs a bath every time I take her there. This is a shame that the city of Port Orange does not have a better facility for all its dog loving residents, and their visitors!!!!

    DOG ATTACKS

My dog was attacked at the entrance gate by a group of frenzied boxers and both of us were badly bitten (911). This happened just two weeks after the same group of rescue boxers attacked another man and his dog. The POPD has numerous Incident Reports which you can review. I would NEVER take my dog or a child here unless I had a taser gun or something to defend myself with. BTW: The responsible parties were NOT responsible and left when the ambulance arrived. I did get their names and they ignored my requests to pay our medical bills AND, I am told, they CONTINUED to bring the boxers to the park.

    average park

Pretty average park. It's not that big but if you're in the area check it out and let your pup release some energy! Water stations are provided along with it being pretty shaded for the hot summer days!

    Don't Go

Click of people that come to socialize and don't pick up after their dog. Many very dominate dogs that owners claim are just playing - run off young & new visitors. No grass

    The Best

Free parking for your car. Very good park for both, the owner and the dog. The park is visited by good people and beautiful dogs, so that I and my dog enjoy our time.

    Never Again.

A very small park, there are many trees which makes it feel crowded when dogs are wrestling. The three times I have been to this park I have encountered uneducated owners who bring their unsocialized dogs here, each time resulting in numerous dog fights. The park is clean and kept up with but because of those who go to this park I will not go back.

    Great Fun

I love this park. Occasionally there will be roudy puppy in the mix but everyone is so great at diffusing the situation and making sure all dogs have a fun safe time. Also, no need to bring a ball, there are plenty there, on the same note, if you bring a ball, don;t expect to bring it home.
