  Great park!

  this place is so cool! new to the area and had to check it out. my dog LOVED how big the play area was! we will definitely be back!

  Lot of poo Within The Park

  we didn’t like it very much because people has to bring their own water and there’s a lot of poo in the park

  Our Favorite

  This park is great for dogs that love independence and exploring as well as dogs that just want to fetch, the field area is long enough for fetch and the wooded area is great to walk through and explore, both of our dogs love it here, it’s a bit hard to find your dogs sometimes if they like exploring separately back in the back but I don’t mind if they have some independence, but it’s definitely smart to try to keep an eye on them.

  I Love Love LOVE this Dog Park. And so does my Rottie, Nova. There are always large dogs for her to play with here

  Nice sized small dog park

  Enjoyed this park on a weekend. Very busy and mostly used by small dogs, although someone had their full sized poodle in there. Nice mulched ground with lots of trees.

  Best Ever!

  I love this park for my pups!! We go in the mornings mostly and it's not overrun or too packed (pun intended) to enjoy the large space. The front is pretty open and having the wooded back area is WONDERFUL for my babies to get out of the sun and run! They feel completely free and happy on the trails. It's super clean; we see guys from the shelter every morning coming out to tend to the waste baskets (which are abundant and handy because you never know where the heck they're going to go). On Tuesday mornings they mow so it's closed, but SUPER handy - 817.462.8441 ext.8 - this number let's you call beforehand so you don't waste gas or get your furbaby all excited just to turn around and come back home.

  We are regulars at this park and have nothing but good to say about it. We have met so many people here and our dog absolutely loves this place. Highly recommend!

  Wonderful park

  A great place for dogs to play and learn to socialize. Dogs are such social animals and they need to interact with others. It is a joy to see them enjoying themselves here. The park is big, with open spaces and wooded areas with paths. Yes, sometimes a few of the dogs are too boisterous for the shyer ones, but they sort it out quickly, and some of the owners don't control their dogs very well but it isn't that common and I would call it a minor problem. You just have to be alert to what is going on. The dogs are all running and chasing around joyfully. Our dogs have always gotten very excited when they know we are headed to the park and they can't wait to get in.

  Never been a fan of dog parks but I am very happy with this park! It's well maintained. Would give it 5 bones but the hours kind of suck. I think they correlate with the shelter hours.

  More shade than most

  Nice areas with shade trees, but has weeds and brambles and I have to wash and brush my dogs after I go there. Have also seen some poison ivy.

  Great Dogs and Visitors

  Lots of big dogs with GREAT behavior one early Saturday morning made the day perfect for my 18 lb Chug. Since no little dogs were out yet, we slowly introduced ourselves and were welcomed by 6 to 8 big dogs showing the greatest attitudes. They came playfully to check us out, asking to play and run. The park is well kept with a large area with trees - I had no idea it was that big from the view from the small dog side. On the small dog side, there are sometimes rule-breakers, and humans who can't seem to read the rules which are clearly posted, but the group I met were all on board. I did not hear a Loud Radio? Do dogs listen to radios?

  Great park

  I love this location. There is plenty of room for the dogs to explore, big or small. Some owners don't follow the rules all the time, but that happens everywhere. There are plenty of pet waste stations, a doggy drinking fountain, and as the name states trails for the dogs to explore. Some owners do not pay attention to their pets, but a person could be an adult and speak with the owner. There have been some rough housing with the larger dogs, but there is a huge area to take your dog. You can easily walk to another area and play there. Great place and I wish the city had a location like this in North Arlington.

  watch out for owners who don't control their dogs

  While I am very happy to see that Arlington has provided a space for dog owners, I am very upset with the lack of enforcement.. or the lack of courtesy that some dog owners show while at the park.
  Following the rules posted on the park fences, I waited until my pup was 4 months old *and* neutered before taking him to the park. He loves all the running space and exploring the wooded area, and I love the fact that I can socialize him with other dogs.
  HOWEVER, there is a gentleman there who does not give a flying flip of what his two dogs do, nor does he do anything to control them.
  On one occasion, his chihuahua relentlessly kept humping my pup. I passive aggressively said something aloud about how rude it is for the constant humping (not to mention the chi’s peeing on my chair), and he ignored me as if I were speaking a different language.
  The second, larger dog is more of an issue. While he does not show outright aggression, he does roughhouse quite a bit. I was okay with it until my pup started yelping. I broke up the roughhousing, picked up my dog and proceeded to walk to the other side of the park to separate my dog from his, and the whole time the other dog was jumping and nipping at my puppy! The man didn't even try to intervene, and when confronted about it, he claimed that we did not know "the ins and outs of a dog park."
  Frankly, neither does he. From the few times I have observed him at the park, I have seen that he does not control his dogs, he does not clean up after his dogs, and he plays his radio loudly, much to the annoyance of other pet owners who are there to relax.
  That is my only vent about Tails 'n Trails. I have witnessed and heard about a few other instances where other dogs got into "incidents," but I have never seen an outright dogfight. Owners that come here are, for the most part, responsible and in control of their dogs.
