B&A Trail

The B&A Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Annapolis! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the B&A Trail. Rails-to-Trails Conservancy has generously provided map data for this trail to Bring Fido for informational purposes only. For more detailed trail information, please visit TrailLink.com. A lot of bikers!

The trail is well maintained and it was enjoyable but there are a lot of bikers. We were passed by over 230 bike riders before I stopped counting; some very courteous and rang their bells or announced they were passing on the left but sadly a large part just zipped by starting me and my two small dogs. Even though it says dog friendly I didn't see but one other dog. Even though there was a lot of evidence they had been there. (Come on people pick up your dogs poo!) There are places to rest. And toss your garbage- was an easy walk- just beware of the speeding bikers zipping around you on the trail!
