    Nice stop

nice stop after a long drive. It was hot out but we needed our pup to run out his energy. Plenty of water stations and shade.

    Worth the off-interstate drive

Stopped by on a road trip. A bit of a drive off the interstate, but worth it.
This park had just what our dog needed mid afternoon in July, 108 degrees. It's difficult to find dog parks with grass when traveling in the Southwest. Our dog was able to run and be with other dogs. Available water and poop bag stations, but I didn't notice any human bathrooms.

    Very friendly!

what a great place for the pups to play and to meet folks knowledgeable about the area. during our 2 week stay, regulars got to know our dogs and we’re very welcoming to all of us. Have fun!

    Great Dog Park

Palm Springs Dog Park is a clean, convenient and comfortable park for dogs. It is my dog Kobi’s highlight of the day. He gets to run and play with his best friends, people and dogs alike.
The park is not only well maintained by city staff but is also kept clean and pleasant by its many patrons from the Greater Palm Springs area.
The parents and guardians of dogs at this park consist of a close knit community of dog lovers as well as city officials and visitors from all over that respect this very welcoming Dog Park.

    Fab dog park

We had a great time here. Park is divided into 2 parts, big and small dogs though occasionally some smaller dogs were in the big dog section.
It is a big space, lots of friendly dogs and owners. We were staying in PS for 4 days and visited every day.
There are 3 water fountains (in the big park), plenty of seating for humans and some shady spots to shelter from the PS sun.
    Plenty of free parking outside.
Wish I had this park near me!

    Fun Times

This is a great place to bring your hound to run and play with lots of friendly and well mannered dogs and people. Lots of water stations, chairs and shady places. Best times are early morning for socializing.

    Sad

This is one of the worst parks we've ever been to. People sit around socializing & not watching their dogs so they don't notice when they poop. Of course, that means that they don't pick up the poop either. Not much grass. Mostly dirt. Seems to be in serious need of some TLC.

    Disappointing

The part of the park for large dogs is quite nice but the section for small dogs is awful. There's almost no grass at all. The dirt doesn't bother the dogs but makes some clean up necessary before allowing them back in the car. Picking up after your dog seems to be optional as many of the people spend their time chatting & don't watch their dogs at all. There's also a group of "regulars" that seem to have dibs on certain seating areas & do not welcome outsiders.

    Well maintained

Very nice off leash spot. Owners very good at picking up after their pets. It is well maintained and everyone is very friendly. Our little dog loves it.

    Rather sad park

We visited this dog park and found it to be rather sad and depressing. It smelled strongly of urine and all the grass had turned to dirt basically. A few awnings and lawn chairs placed around the park. It was quite small and was a real contrast to the beautiful lawned area by city hall. However, people and dogs were friendly and obviously happy to have a place to play. It seemed very small and bleak to us.

    Fido approved

Decided to go here first upon arrival before heading to the hotel. Wasn't disappointed at all; good amount of room for our pooch to run and stretch his legs after the long car ride in. Clean.............has shaded areas.........fountains and watering holes throughout.........chairs placed randomly to allow the 2 legged guests some rest as well. Not the fanciest dog park BUT it is surely one of most thoughtful dog parks visited. Highly recommended.
