The problem are the yuppie owners..

To the person blaming rescue dogs for being "not normal" and "emotional" as if pure breeds are not, you need to just stop.. we get it. You hate rescues, and that means you're a bad person. Emotional dogs come from emotional owners and that is that.

Now about the park. Use the trails. They are gorgeous. The dog parks are filled with rich yuppie owners that cant be bothered to observe their dogs behavior and remove them when needed. There is this particular rude man with a great dane names TUX that is notorious and I cannot go there because of him. He let's his massive great dane attack everyones dogs and just laughs about it and wont be bothered to move to do anything. When asked to remove his dog, he refuses and becomes rude. When using the trails BEWARE. These yuppie owners refuse to leash their dogs and throw the good old "dont worry mine is friendly" at you. ...Trying to to keep myself between the unleashed dog and my LEASH AGGRESSIVE dog is always an anxiety attack. The owners in this neighborhood are just.. lazy and oblivious to dog behavior. It's a shame because the park is huge and gorgeous. Some nice large owls to spot, and a bunch of other cool critters. Some little cute creek bridge cross overs too.

    Small and dirty

This park is always way too crowded. There have been times we left without even going in because it was so crowded there was no space to even throw a ball 20ft in any direction. Owners do not clean up after their pets poop so it’s like walking through a field of land mines. On one instance, I even saw some owners drop their dog off and leave the park for about 15 minutes unsupervised! I was absolutely dumbfounded!

    Great Location

We are from out of town and we always bring our dog to this dog park when we come visit. I have never had a problem that resembles the above reviews. We have always had a great experience here. Plenty of room, shade, water, tables, etc. The setting is beautiful and butts right up to a forest.

    Scary Dogs

Scary dogs with pack mentality. Won’t take my small dogs in there again, but there are nice hikes all around it so we go there for those.

    Aggressive Dogs, Do-Nothing Owners

This is the worst dog park for having your dog mobbed by a group of aggressive, emotionally unstable, and poorly trained rescue dogs. I’m all for taking in rescue dogs, but the “Keep Portland Weird” culture really permeates this dog park. Everybody has a large emotionally compromised rescue dog. These dogs tend to form a pack mentality and seek to search and destroy normal well-behaved dogs that enter the park. The owners of these pack dogs will dismiss it with “Oh they’re just playing.” Because one dog trying to rip another dogs ears off is “just playing”. But hey, I’ll give them credit. If their dogs start to get unreasonably aggressive, they will take action by standing 20 yards away and screaming “Stop it (insert dog name here)!”

You’re emotionally unstable rescue dog isnt going to respond to your voice, get in there and pull your dog off.

I had to pull my yellow lab out the bottom of a pile today, that’s on the owners that did nothing and don’t know how to control their dogs. Do not bring your dog unless they are huge or a wolf.

    Not for my pup

Way too many large dogs for the space. Poop not picked up. No grass. When I tried to say something to a dog mom about so many dogs barking and scaring my pup,,her response was "well it is a dog park". Not for us.

    Aggressive dogs

I've been there 4 times with my puppy, and he has been attacked twice. One time the dogs packed up on him. Vet bills ate expensive I would go somewhere else.

    Aggressive dogs

Took our puppy here and it was a combination of ignorant owners and out of control dogs with a pack mentality. Stayed 2 minutes, left. Awful

    Great Place

This place is great. My dog loves running around and playing with other dogs here. Plus there are trails for walking your dog on leash if he isn't too friendly. Ive yet to have a bad experience here :)
