Paved Trails Connecting Parks and Downtown
Don't forget your water (bowl) and poo bags, but be prepared to hang onto them! We use the Rivergreenway trail to walk from our neighborhood to Promenade Park (on the north side of the St. Mary's River). There are lots of other walkers, dogs, bikers, and people on the local scooters. There is intermittent shade with trees and bridges. There are not many trash cans or doggie poo bag locations along the trail (there is one at the Wells St. pedestrian bridge). I wouldn't let your dog swim in the river or drink the river water.
