    Fantastic Location for Water-Loving Pups

We made many two-legged and four-legged friends while visiting Sellwood Park. My pup had a ball splashing about in the water and running up-and-down the beach. There was also an absence of poop and garbage, thanks to a group of ladies and their Dane picking up trash.

The park wasn’t fenced in and there’s a busy road just outside of the park, so I’d keep your dog on-leash if they don’t have a good recall.

    Awesome!

This was such a great stop for us on our way home. She loved jumping in the water and playing with the other dogs. The grass and fields are super muddy. There is also a bathroom here-great bonus when traveling.

    Awesome Place for Dogs

Great beach area - all of leash, awesome connecting paths (leash required) through parks, neighborhoods, wetlands, and the forest.

    Great Area, Not Fenced Off

This is a great park for big crazy fun loving dogs. A bit intimidating for my small dogs though. Plus added bonus of the off leash park extending into the river. If I had a big goofy Labrador I’d spend every day here. My doxie stays on leash so I can yank her out of the way of ten bounding dogs heading for the water lol.

    Bacardi’s play day

Our little jack has so much fun here. The park was very clean and maintained. All the dogs were having a blast running around. Bacardi got to swim a little bit and meet some new furry friends. Now we’re stuck in a car with a stinky river dog but it was all worth the fun.

    Doggy heaven

I love this place! Never seen my dog so happy. All the dogs get along great. Very clean. Have never seen any doggy poo. Large grass area to run and play. River is right there so dogs can play in the water aling with a boat dock to relax on with a beautiful view. I plan to be there every day the sun is shinning this summer!

Good water access but not very big

The off leash area gets incredibly muddy in the winter and spring and isn't a huge area (maybe an acre or so) and its not fenced in anyway -- if that's a concern for you. The surrounding area too has very little room to hike about, with much of the area being a nature preserve and thus requires you to leash up your dog whenever you. If your pup loves water, however, it is a great place to play in the river. Has excellent parking and bathroom facilities as well as water for you and your pups.

    Water Love

We love this park especially in the summer in the early morning hours. My dog loves beaches and his tail wages happily when he sees the beach. Do bring poo bags a water.
