Springwater Corridor

The Springwater Corridor is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Gresham! The map below shows a parking area with convenient access to the Springwater Corridor. Nice place to walk, but busy
This is a lovely walk on flat, paved path. My only complaint is it is so heavily used by bikers that I find myself looking over my shoulder half the time to keep an eye out for bikers coming up behind and going out for the pass. Not that much of an issue if it's just me walking, but if I have a dog on leash who likes to follow her nose, it turns an enjoyable walk into a lot of work.

Flat, paved path great for old pups that don’t like hills. Goes for miles. Rest benches that are covered for shade. Shared space with runners and bikers but not crowded away from Portland area. Glimpses of property through hedges and traffic noise in places but lots of birdsong. Many access points. Leash required.

Easy Gravel Trail
Beautiful flat hike on gravel road. Park behind shell station and walk down.
