Katy Trail State Park

The Katy Trail State Park is one of 1,600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this dog-friendly "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in Saint Charles! Nice for any dog!

This is a great trail to take your dog out on, except on rainy days as the gravel can get a bit gross. It's most popular on weekends and evenings.

Good for dogs of all abilities

This is a very long, packed, fine gravel trail. The trail is good for walking, jogging, and cycling. Dogs are to be leashed on this trail and there are many cyclists that use it, so it is advisable to keep dogs under control. Nice scenery and clean vault toilets.
