Clarksburg Branch Line Trail
The Clarksburg Branch Line Trail is one of 1600 rail-trails supported by Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, a nonprofit organization that is working to create a nationwide network of trails from former rail lines and connecting corridors. Previously an unused railroad corridor, this "rail-trail" is now a great place to walk Fido in West Sacramento! The map below shows a trailhead where you can pick up the Clarksburg Branch Line Trail. IT IS ABOUT 6.5 MILES IF YOU DO THE ENTIRE TRAIL. AS OF RIGHT NOW IT IS GRAVEL SO IT WAS VERY ROUGH IN A FEW SPOTS. THERE ARE TREES ALL ALONG THE TRAIL SO IT IS NICE AND SHADY. I WOULD DO TRAIL AGAIN. THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO PAVE THE TRAIL IN 2011.
