American Basin Trail
The American Basin Trail is a pet-friendly hike in the San Juan Mountains of Lake City, CO. Since the trail is owned by the Bureau of Land Management, dogs are allowed off-leash on this scenic trail, which is accessible July through October. Enjoy mountain views and wildflower meadows while you get some exercise with your pup. Fido's favorite part will undoubtedly be taking a refreshing dip in Sloan Lake at the end of the trail, so don't forget to bring a towel!
