    Mork enjoyed the hike

first time Mork went hiking and he loved it. I wanted to do an easy hike with him, but the trails are not really marked clearly. we ended up doing a moderate hike up to the top of the mountain. it’s a nice area. there was lots of horse poop along the trail though.

    Great Hike w/ the Pup!

I grew up in this area so I have been to Thunderbird Conservation Park several times. There are several trails with different types of difficulties. My favorite trail is the Sunrise trail. It is a quick hike with awesome views, my German Shepherd loves it too! The park also has several different types of amenities like picnic areas and a wildlife lookout area that not many people know about. I recommend downloading the Avem app, it will help you discover and find all the different park amenities offered at Thunderbird Conservation Park. Happy Hiking!

Coco went up the trail like a mountain goat

Had a great hike up to the flag pole with Coco.
Trail was easier than it looked. Coco managed it with ease.
Took about an hour at a very slow Pace to do the loop. Wonderful morning hike.

    Pick Up After Your DOG

Clean up after your dog, does NOT mean put the poop in a bag and then toss it to the side of the trail. You actually need to transport that bag of poop to the nearest trash can (conveniently located all over the park). I have seen bags of poop with in 20 yards of a trash can. REALLY? Are you that lazy? If you don't want to trasport the poop to the trash can, then DONT BRING YOUR DOG. There is not a trail poop fairy that runs along picking up the bags. One day I counted nearly 20 bags on the side of the trail (I picked them up until my hands were full of poop). Seriously people get a clue.

    Great Place

I love bringing my energetic corgi puppy here. The H-1 trail is best for short legged dogs and puppies, cause the trail is fairly easy and doesn't go up or down in elevation much. The H-2 trail is best for long legged dogs and experienced hiking dogs that have endurance. There are some pretty steep parts going up and down in elevation. I love going here on a regular basis. If the trails look confusing, there's not much chance of getting lost, cause this is a popular hiking spot and the regulars are friendly.
