Rockaway Beach is New York City's only legal surfing beach, making it a top attraction in Queens, NY. Fido doesn't need a surfboard to enjoy a day in the sun. Leashed dogs are welcome on the beach and the pet-friendly boardwalk. Pet owners must have proof of current dog license and rabies vaccination. Please note that, although Rockaway Beach is open year round, dogs are only allowed during the off-season.
