Pet Friendly Fenwick Island State Park
Fenwick Island State Park Fenwick Island State Park in Delaware has a nice, uncrowded, pet-friendly beach during winter. However, dogs are prohibited from May 1st to September 30th. The area offers three miles of ocean beaches and access to the Little Assawoman Bay. Boundary markers for areas open or closed to pets will typically be designated by signs posted at the seaward toe of the dune. See Details
Pet Friendly James Farm Ecological Preserve
James Farm Ecological Preserve James Farm Ecological Preserve is a pet-friendly attraction in Ocean View, DE. This local ecological preserve is home to hiking trails and a beach on the bay. Broadkill Beach Broadkill Beach on the coast Milton, DE is dog friendly from October 1st to April 30th. Fido must be leashed unless extremely well trained in voice command. Owners should be respectful of other beach-goers and are reminded to clean up after their pet. See Details
Cape Henlopen State Park Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes, DE, is pet friendly. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails and portions of the beach, as some areas are reserved for beach-nesting species. Please note a fee is involved upon arriving. See Details
Dewey Beach Dewey Beach, DE is dog-friendly and Fido is allowed on the beach before 9:30 am and after 5:30 pm during the summer (mid-May through mid-September). Dogs are permitted on the beach at all times during the day from mid-September to mid-May and are allowed to be off leash if under your full control. You must clean up after your dog at all times, and all dogs must have a Dewey Beach dog license that can be obtained from Dewey Beach Town Hall or online. See Details
Delaware Seashore State Park Delaware Seashore State Park in Rehoboth Beach, DE, is pet friendly. Fido can join you on the sand and in the surf during select times of the year. From May 1 to September 30, dogs aren't permitted on any swimming or sunbathing beach (areas with lifeguards) but are allowed on non-guarded beaches year-round. Bethany Beach Leashed dogs can enjoy visiting Bethany Beach in Delaware from October 1st through May 14th. Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the beach outside of these dates.
