Pet Friendly Kailua Beach Park in Kailua, HI
Leashed dogs are welcome to join you at this beach with gorgeous white sands and turquoise water. In order for the community to continue to support sharing the shoreline with dogs, great care must be taken to ensure responsibility and respect for all beach goers. Owners are responsible for their dog’s actions. The law requires that all dogs wear their county-issued license tag as identification and that pet waste must be disposed of. Violations can results in citations and fines issued by the police.

Pet Friendly Waikoloa Beach in Waikoloa Village, HI
This is not a "dog beach" but leashed dogs are welcome on the south side (at Lava Lava Beach Club and the undeveloped south side portion) of the Bay. From Kona, take Highway 19 north toward the Waikoloa Beach Resort Area. Turn left at Waikoloa Beach Road (near Mile Marker #76). Turn left at the road across from Kings’ Shops (Follow the signs for “Lava Lava Beach Club.” Parking for the beach is at the end of this road. However, dogs are NOT allowed in the main beach parking lot, and security is strict.You can either drop off your dogs at Lava Lava Beach Club with a friend to hold them while you go back and park in the main parking lot OR you can park at Lava Lava Beach Club (LLBC) in the gravel overflow parking lot. Please stay on the south side (at Lava Lava Beach Club and the undeveloped south side portion) of the Bay
