Mau'umae Beach Mau’umae Beach is a hidden treasure between Samuel M. Spencer Beach Park and the Mauna Kea Resort. Dogs are allowed on-leash at Mau'umae Beach.

To reach the beach, go to Spencer Beach Park heading North on Hwy 19 turn left onto Hwy 270. Continue 0.4 miles and take the first left onto Spencer Beach Park Rd. Follow the road toward the ocean and go left at the fork. Continue to the parking lot located at the South end of the beach near the campsite and picnic pavilion. You’ll find the trailhead near the picnic pavilion. Walk for about 0.3 miles and you’ll cross a small stream, continue along the trail and you’ll come to Mau’umae Beach.
