Pet Friendly Sachuest Beach
Sachuest Beach Sachuest Point Town Beaches are pet-friendly with restrictions. During peak season, which is Memorial Day to Labor Day, you can take leashed dogs to the beach from 5:00am to 7:45am. During off season, you can take them any time. The Rhode Island National Wildlife Refuge sections are not pet-friendly, in order to preserve the local animal populations. See Details
Napatree Point Conservation Area Dogs are welcome on the beach at Napatree Point Conservation Area during certain times of the year. They are prohibited from 8am to 6pm, May 2 through Labor Day. The rest of the year they are allowed, on-leash. Dogs are not allowed in roped off areas, as they are home to endangered species. Guests must clean up after Fido during their visit to Napatree. Waste bins are located at the entrance to the beach. See Details
Mohegan Bluffs Walk along the Block Island Heritage Trail with your pup to the stunning Mohegan Bluffs. Rising approximately 200 feet above the sea and stretching on for nearly three miles, the bluffs will provide you with unforgettable views and photo opportunities. There is a staircase to make the ascent and descent easier for humans and canines alike. Just make sure your pup is leashed at all times. You can find a trailhead at Spring Street & Mohegan Trail. Block Island Beaches Of all the beaches down Corn Neck Road, the only one that did not allow dogs was the Fred Benson Town Beach, which is where the changing rooms, showers and concessions are. All other beaches allow leashed dogs, and are an easy walk from the Town Beach -- in fact, all the beaches are connected! This allows for a lot of options. Watch for signs, as when protected bird species are mating beach access may be limited for both dogs and humans. See Details
Narragansett Town Beach Narragansett Town Beach is pet-friendly. Dogs are allowed on-leash in the off-season from September 16 to May 14. Dog owners are reminded to clean up any mess that is left behind to preserve the cleanliness of the beach. See Details
