Rocks State Park Rocks State Park is dog-friendly. Sprawling over 855-acres of rocky forest land, this picturesque park is rustic and relatively untouched, providing a scenic getaway for dogs and their owners. The main attractions for visitors are the King and Queen Seat, a spectacular 190-foot high rock outcrop overlooking Deer Creek that can only be accessed by climbing, and Kilgore Falls, which can be viewed from the 3.5 miles of trails that weave around the park. You'll also be able to access Deer Creek, a popular spot among anglers. Dogs are welcome to join you in the park, as long as they are on a leash under six feet and all mess is cleaned up after them. Susquehanna State Park Susquehanna State Park is dog-friendly. Located on the banks of the lower Susquehanna River, this park is popular among visitors who are looking to get a taste of nature and to enjoy a throwback to times gone by, featuring a working gristmill, Carter-Archer Mansion, Jersey Toll House, and the remains of the Susquehanna and Tidewater Canal. The park is a mixture of diverse forest and rocky terrain, which can be explored on over 15 miles of marked trails, varying in difficulty and terrain. The trails will lead you to pretty picnic areas, through farmland, and alongside Deer Creek.
