Coindre Hall Coindre Hall is a mansion in the style of a medieval French chateau constructed in 1912 for pharmaceutical magnate George McKesson Brown. It overlooks 34 acres of rolling land including a boathouse on the north shore of Long Island adjacent to Long Island Sound. Many people bring their dogs to frolic and play in the hills of the "backyard" of the mansion. Blydenburgh Dog Park Blydenburgh County Park is a 627 acre park located at the headwaters of the Nissequogue River. The park is richly forested hills and valleys and the centerpiece of the park is a man-made lake, Stump Pond, that was created at the turn of the century. Dogs are allowed, on leash, throughout the park and without leash only within the fenced-in Dog Park. The Dog Park, which was officially opened in 2007, is an entirely fenced in 2 acre parcel that includes separate areas for small and large dogs. Each area has an open field and a wooded path to meander through with your dog. Each section is double gated for safe and easy access and includes a water spigot/drinking fountain. There is ample parking adjacent to the park. A Green Key pass is required on the weekends from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The park is open year-round from 8:00am to sunset. See Details
