You and your pup can step back in time over 200 years by visiting the pet-friendly La Purisima Mission State Park in Lompoc, CA. Enjoy period demonstrations throughout the year as well as the 5-acre garden and nearly 25 acres of hiking trails. The surface of the trails varies from pavement, sand, and dirt. Keep your dog leashed during your visit and make sure to clean up after her. You'll also want to protect Fido from ticks, which are sometimes present. Beware that if you are leaving the trail you should watch for poison oak.

Warm air flows over the nearby San Rafael range to the east to meet cool Pacific breezes from the west, providing an ideal climate for Bordeaux and Rhone varietals. Warm days and bright sunshine provide a perfect environment during the growing season, and the large diurnal shift to cold temperatures at night help maintain the grapes natural acidity. The warm and sunny setting of the Tasting Room beckons you to taste the wines, relax and sit on the patio or stroll through the garden. There is a $10 tasting fee which includes a crystal stem glass. Dogs are welcome in the tasting room and in the gardens. Please note that as this is a working farm, there are free roaming resident dogs. Guests are requested to be sensitive to other visitors who may have allergies or phobias of canines.
