Pet Friendly River Dog's Park in Pascagoula, MS
This park is sort of hard to find. It's located north of Hwy 90 on Lowry Island just west of the bridge connecting Gautier and Pascagoula. Access is gained by exiting Hwy 90 towards Ingalls shipyard on Jerry St Pé Hwy. Then follow the signs to the park. There are two fenced in dog parks for small and large dogs. The parks are somewhat small. There are some fun wooden ramps and 'caves' as well as 'real' fire hydrants for the dogs. There are doggie bags and waste receptacles to help with picking up after the dogs.
Pet Friendly Shepard State Park Bark Park in Gautier, MS
The Bark Park has a covered picnic table plus wooden run ramps for the dogs. The fenced in area is best for small & medium sized dogs. There is no intermediate area for gaining access to the park so be mindful of other dogs. There are helpful tools and waste bins for picking up after dogs.
Pet Friendly Gulf Islands National Seashore in Ocean Springs, MS
Certain areas of Gulf Islands National Seashore are dog-friendly! Leashed dogs are allowed on trails, multi-use paths, and on park roads. They are also allowed to be tied to fixed objects in the Davis Bayou and Fort Pickens Campgrounds, if their leash is less than six feet long, the pet is quiet, and out of harm's way. Pets must be cleaned up after during their visit. Dog owners can check out Gulf Islands National Seashore's official website to find operating hours and entrance fees for specific areas of the Seashore. Dogs are NOT allowed on all park beaches and in water less than five feet in Florida; on all beaches of the Mississippi barrier islands and in water less than five feet surrounding the islands; and in the forts or visitor use facilities, such as pavilions, fishing and ferry piers, and visitor centers.
