If you forget your leash, please stop by the Visitor Information Centre where you may borrow one. Doggie cleanup bags are available. Five convenient pet water fountains are located throughout the park and are marked on the map of The Butchart Gardens. West Bay to James Bay via Inner Harbour For a fantastic urban walk with Fido, park in Esquimalt by Westbay Marina and enter the walking trail there. The path is paved, all the way along the waterfront to the inner harbour of Victoria. From there you can continue out to Fisherman's wharf have lunch/dinner and catch a harbour ferry back to Westbay Marina to where you've parked your car. The scenery on this walk is breathtaking and you can easily detour into downtown for some window shopping, stop at the beach for a swim, or pick up some doggy snacks at High End Dog. This walk can be shortened by parking in various other entrances to the paths. Or, it can be done in reverse the patio of the 'Fin and Gill Bar and Grill' at West bay marina is also dog friendly.
