Seneca Creek State Park Dogs are allowed at Seneca Creek State Park, made up of 6,300 acres that extend along 14 scenic miles of Seneca Creek towards the Potomac River. There's an astonishing 50 miles of hiking trails around this park for you and Fido to enjoy, spreading out through a variety of woodland. The main hub of the Schaeffer Farm Trail System can also be found within the park, extending into most of the upcounty area with lots of loops that link the Seneca, Muddy Branch, and Potomac watersheds. One of the main attractions of the park is the 90-acre Clopper Lake, surrounded by forests and fields. Dogs are welcome throughout the park on a leash if owners clean up any mess that they leave behind. The park is open from 8am to sunset from March to October and 10am to sunset from November to February. See Details

The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring Friends School is dog-friendly, providing Fido and family fun for ages 5 and up. At the park, you'll discover zip lines with harness and equipment, and they offer a safety briefing that demonstrates how to climb and zip line in the park. There are 13 separate trails of varying levels of difficulty around the park. Each trail has zip lines but primarily consist of bridges between the trees and platforms made of rope, cable, and wood. There are over 190 unique challenges within these courses. Although pooches are not welcome on the sky trails, non-climbing observers and their dogs can gain entry into the park for free. All dogs must be on a leash for the duration of their stay. The hours of Adventure Park vary depending on the time of year. Call ahead to double check their hours when you plan on visiting. Rockville Dog Park at King Farm Rockville pooches will love the chance to play at this residents-only fenced Rockville Dog Park at King Farm. It's a great place to get some off-leash exercise. Water fountains, was stations, benches, and picnic tables are also available. In order to keep the Dog Park safe from non-vaccinated and unlicensed dogs, and those not compliant with the rules, the Dog Park is locked and restricted to Rockville residents only whose dog(s) are licensed with the City of Rockville. Dogs are allowed to join their owners around most of the park, but they are prohibited in the campground of the Hilton Area of Patapsco Valley State Park and in the Pickall Area.
