Fort Pulaski National Monument
Pet-friendly Fort Pulaski National Monument in Tybee Island, GA, offers dog owners the chance to experience many interesting and exciting activities year-round. Fort Pulaski itself is a large-scale outdoor exhibit. The main structure, together with outlying works including demilune, drawbridges, ditches, and dikes, is a fine example of historic military architecture. Leashed dogs are welcome to enter the fort and explore the hiking trails within the monument. Fido is also allowed to walk along the shoreline; however, they should not enter the water due to the very strong current. While visiting, they offer Fido the chance to join the Bark Ranger program and receive a free tag for his collar. This program consists of learning what each letter in B.A.R.K. stands for and practicing these lessons during your visit.

Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure
Captain Derek's Dolphin Adventure is pet-friendly! Leashed dogs who have good sea legs are welcome to join in a Tybee Island expedition on the water. Enjoy either Daytime Dolphin Tour or the Sunset Dolphin Tour, which combines the thrills of the regular dolphin tours with a beautiful sunset. Tours are historically narrated by the first mate and captain and last from one hour to 90 minutes. Guests can also charter their own private tour with Fido! You are welcome to bring your own drinks (including alcohol) and snacks on board. No glass, please. Soft drinks and snacks are also available for purchase at their dock house.

There is a limit of two dogs per human, and all dogs must be leashed. This dog-friendly walking tour runs approximately 90 minutes and is about a one mile stroll through historic Savannah. Please note the afternoon tour is not offered June through September due to high temperatures.

Savannah Cruzers states, "this Victorian Garden is a retreat from the hustle of Downtown and a dream for lovers of art, nature, and history." Tours are approximately one to one and a half hours, and five seats are available per tour. Dog owners are responsible for the safety and care of dogs while riding in the open vehicle and while on foot. Fido must be leashed during the tour. The dog-friendly Alder Lane Beach Access in Hilton Head Island, SC is a great, quiet getaway from the typical beach scene. Amenities include beach matting, restrooms, outdoor showers, 22 metered parking spaces and seasonal lifeguards. Animals are permitted on the beach during the official beach season, April 1st through September 30th before 10:00 AM and after 5:00 PM, or anytime in the off-season. They must be on a leash or under positive voice control at all times. Owners are also required to remove and properly dispose of the animal's excrement.
