Pet Friendly Wildwood Dog Park and Beach
Wildwood Dog Park and Beach Wildwood Dog Park and Beach is pet-friendly. Formerly the Poplar Avenue Beach, this is a dog-friendly spot to romp in the sand and surf. Owners can walk their dog under the boardwalk at Maple Avenue to access the beach. The area features plenty of room for you and your pooch to soak up the sun and take a dip. Dogs must be leashed on the beach itself, but the nearby dog park is leash-free. Fresh water is only available inside of the park, not on the beach. There are no opening times for the beach, but the City recommends swimming while a lifeguard is present. See Details

Sunset Beach Paw prints can be found in the sand from leashed dogs at Sunset Beach from mid-September through mid-April. If you get hungry, The Grille has several dog friendly outdoor tables. Dogs are welcome at Sunset Beach Gifts which is open daily and sells souvenirs, books, and collectibles. Sunset Beach is also famous for the concrete ship of SS Atlantus which has been "grounded" at Cape May Point since 1926. Wildwood Crest Bike Bath Cyclists can enjoy a FREE scenic bike route that runs nearly the entire length of the 5-mile island, beginning at Rambler Road in Wildwood Crest. The beach side bicycle path runs north, continuing on the world famous Wildwoods Boardwalk at Cresse Avenue via the bike ramp connector. The Boardwalk stretches 2.5 miles north to a connecting ramp between 15th and 16th Avenues in North Wildwood. From there, cyclists can continue along a path on the beach through the Mulberry Grove to 3rd Avenue and the Sea Wall in North Wildwood. A special ?bikes only? lane is also dedicated throughout the length of North Wildwood, from 1st to 26th Avenues along Surf Avenue and on the North Wildwood Sea Wall. This popular spot has lots of recreational opportunities for dogs and their owners, including hiking, fishing, crabbing, boating and sunbathing. Located at Cape May in New Jersey, this 22-acre, open-air, living-history museum features working crafts people in period costumes and 26 restored historic buildings.
