Spanning 92 acres on the edge of the Susquehanna River, Shenks Ferry is renowned for its display of colorful wildflowers such as Virginia waterleaf, woodland phlox and wild geranium. Leashed dogs are welcome to enjoy a scenic stroll along Wildflower Trail, a smooth, flat, mile-long path which is popular with botanists, photographers and nature lovers. Extend your walk with Fido by crossing over to the Enola Low Grade Trail or Municipal Hiking Trail, both lying just beyond the preserve boundary.
