The Vista Point picnic area at Tomales Bay State Park is dog-friendly. Dogs must be on a leash during their visit to the scenic picnic area. They are not allowed to stay alone in a vehicle, and they are not allowed on beaches or trails in the Park, including the trail from the picnic area. The Park asks that those planning a group outing make sure every member of their group is aware of the dog policy. Tomales Bay State Park is open from 8am to sunset. There is an $8 per vehicle entrance fee required for parking at Vista Point.
Pet Friendly Samuel P. Taylor State Park in Lagunitas, CA
Dogs are welcome at certain areas of Samuel P. Taylor State Park. Cross Marin Trail bike path is the only dog-friendly trail at this state park. It runs along Lagunitas Creek about three miles through the park, following the old North Pacific Coast Railroad right-of-way into the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. You can also camp among the redwoods at some of the campgrounds in the area. Samuel P. Taylor State Park is open every day of the week from 8am to sunset.
