Range Pond State Park Dogs are allowed to join their owners at Range Pond State Park in Poland, Maine. Located along the northeast shore of beautiful Lower Range Pond, you'll discover a sand beach swim area and a picnic spot that overlooks the water. There are a couple of pet-friendly trails that weave around the park as well, including Old Fields Trail that loops through the pine forest at Range Pond and the Railroad Trail that leads through old logging roads and railroad beds, with just one short hill. Visitors should be aware that pets aren't allowed on State Park beaches between April 1 and September 30. You can bring Fido with you to enjoy the park if they are on a leash under six feet and all mess is cleaned up after them. Range Pond State Park is open every day of the week from 9am until sunset.
