Silver Springs State Park Dogs are welcome on the hiking trails and in the picnic areas at Silver Springs State Park. One of America's largest springs, the sparkling water is surrounded by beautiful gardens and historic buildings that have stood for generations. There are a number of pet-friendly trails dotted around, including the Sandhill trail, a 1.7 mile loop trail; the Sinkhole trail, traversing up through the uplands; and the Swamp trail, a boardwalk trail that will keep your feet dry while you explore. Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park Dogs are welcome at Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park, where you can time travel back to a 1930's Florida homestead. As well as being home to a classic Florida cracker-style home from back in the day, there are two fifteen minute hiking trails around the area that can be enjoyed by dogs and their owners. Small dogs can even go inside with you on a tour of the house, as long as they can be carried the whole time.
