Merrymeeting Dog Park

The Merrymeeting Dog Park In Memory of Jake Horgan is a completely fenced 1.5 acre dog park with separate areas for small dogs and all dogs. Situated along the Androscoggin River Bicycle and Pedestrian Path, the park has beautiful views of the river and is open year round. It is maintained on a daily basis by the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department groundskeepers. The park includes double-gated entries, benches, Dogipots, and signage. A water feature will be added in summer 2013. Parking is at the end of Water St. The dog park is 800 feet from the parking lot and is next to a public toilet facility.

South End Park

Dogs and their people can romp off-leash on 11 acres in the South End Park located on Lower Washington Street. The park provides poop-and-scoop bags, has a dedicated parking lot, and is open year round. For people not into playing with pups, there's even a walking trail and Bocce ball. Dogs must be under voice control when off-leash.

Bug Light Park

While not a dog park, this is a highly visited area by many of the local pups. Pets love the chance to play off-leash in the designated area of this park, which includes beach access. Be careful as the area is not fenced.

Robin's Garden & Dog Park

Located next to the Greater Androscoggin Humane Shelter and Animal Emergency Clinic, Robin's Gardens and Dog Park is an off-leash park with plenty of room for dogs of all sizes to play! This dog park offers separate areas for small and large dogs, along with gazebos and chairs in each of the play areas. Disposal bags and receptacles are also available in each area, making it easy to do the right thing by cleaning up after your pet.
