Avila Beach

The last beach near the point at Avila Beach has a lot of dogs that are off-leash; although it's posted they are not allowed between 10am-5pm we saw LOTS during that time frame. The beach is bordered by rocks jutting out into the water and a rocky cliff up to the street, so it's a natural sort of fence. There are doggie bags available for use. Parking is along the road and access is free.

Dogs are allowed to play off-leash in a designated area of this park near Tefft Street and Pomery Road.

Jody Giannini Family Dog Park

This park features separate enclosed grassy areas with ocean views for both small and large dogs to play off leash. Dogs must be current on vaccinations and licensed with tags. Take Hwy 1 North heading out of Morro Bay, turn at the stop signal, San Jacinto. Go straight until you come to Ironwood Ave, turn left on Ironwood Ave and it dead ends into Del Mar Park. Follow the signs to the dog park west of the parking lot near the tennis courts. This is a self-funded and maintained dog park. Open 8am to dusk.

Sunset Drive-In

If you are looking for nostalgia, look no further. Dog friendly as long as your dogs are not barking! Double features are $8 for ages 12 and up, $4 for ages 5-11, and free for 4 and under.
