Shell Factory and Nature Center

The Shell Factory Dog Park, known as Doggy Heaven, provides a great place for your four legged friends to spend the day. Since the Shell Factory property is dog friendly (pets not allowed in Cap't Fishbones or Nature Park), Doggy Heaven was a natural addition. Admission is free and the Park is open all day. Doggy Heaven is also home to SunCoast DockDogs and the SW Florida Weiner Dog Club. Upon entrance to the Park you will see a large pool used for Dock Dog jumping events and Dog rehabilitation. The Shell Factory also promotes 'Doggy Church' which is held every Sunday at 9.30 am right at the Dog Park. After Church your dog can enjoy the agility course or cool off in the Doggy Fountain (may be held at Party House dependent on weather). No matter what breed or size, Doggy Heaven provides a great place to spend time with your four legged friend. Remember, the entire Shell Factory property is Dog Friendly so be sure to stop by Dog Bones Cafe or visit our Retail Store and browse many Dog related items.

Ann Dever Regional Paw Park

Public dog park with small dog, big dog and smaller dog area. The bad dog area is a future agility area. Very large fenced areas for dogs to run. Limited shade. Water available. Nice park, with lots of grassy area. Grass can get high sometimes in wet season.

Lago St/ Lakeview Paw Park

Everything we could have asked for to make our pooch, and thus...us, happy while traveling and not knowing where to let her run off leash. 2 acres of fenced in shade for dogs over 20 lbs., plenty of water bowls, hose, doggie pools provided....and lots of tennis balls all over! Park has a smaller area for puppies and dogs under 20 lbs. Very pleasant discovery! Highly recommended.

Ann Dever Memorial Regional Park has over 420 acres of land, 50 acres for active use, 120 acres of environmental land, 136 acres north of the creek and 115 acres dedicated to Cedar Point Environment Park. Ann Dever Memorial Regional Park is a sanctuary of old growth pines, scrub habitat and mature pine flatwoods with mangrove fringe along Oyster Creek. An observation platform and the boardwalk crossing Oyster Creek displays the variety of birds that utilize Oyster Creek and the surrounding mangroves. Ann Dever Memorial Regional Park also includes San Casa, a 125 acre sanctuary that has old growth pines and scrub habitat.
