Located east of the observation tower on John Barkley Drive, the 53-acre off-leash area features a dog swim area along with wood chip and natural surface trails through grassland and wooded areas. The off-leash area also includes paved parking and portable toilets. It is the largest park in the county and the most visited park in the entire state of Kansas. Its 53-acre off-leash dog park, one of the largest in the country, has hiking trails, large open spaces and a 200-foot dog beach. The park is also home to a number of fantastic amenities such as a beautiful 120-acre lake that's great for boating, fishing, sail boarding, and much more.
