Old Charleston Ghost Tours

Bring Fido along on an Old Charleston Ghost Tour! This walking tour starts in Washington Park and lasts about 90 minutes. You and your pooch may even hear a story about a ghost dog that roams the streets of Charleston.

Magnolia Plantation and Gardens

Magnolia Plantation has beautiful gardens you can explore with Fido, but the real treat here is that dogs are also allowed on the tram tours. Dogs that can be carried are even allowed inside the plantation house. In addition to the garden, there are many nature trails on the property.

Charleston Schooner Pride

Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome aboard Charleston Schooner Pride's two-hour sails as long as they are leashed or remain in a carrier. There are no set courses on the boat. She sails with the winds and tides, so every cruise is unique. There will be some narration and the crew is always willing to point out the historic sites and wildlife in the harbor. Passengers are welcome to raise and trim the sails with the crew or just sit back and enjoy. Guests may bring aboard a picnic lunch. However, by law, no beverages may be brought on board. Sodas, water, beer, wine, and light snacks are available for purchase. Public sails depart daily. Advance purchase strongly recommended as sails often sell out in advance. NOTE: A cannon shot will be fired during the trip, so it's highly recommended any dog strongly bothered by loud noises not be brought aboard.

Drayton Hall

Drayton Hall is a pet-friendly southern plantation property. Pets can join you on the two self-guided nature walks, but they are not allowed on tours inside the house or inside any of the buildings on the property. The main house is considered one of the finest examples of Georgian-Palladian architecture in the United States, and the grounds represent one of the most significant, undisturbed historic landscapes in America. Pets have been known to enjoy a nice nap under the outdoor “Connections” tent while their family attends the program. Please leash and clean up after your pet while visiting Drayton Hall.
