The Banks-Vernonia State Trail from Vernonia to Braun is an easy, 5.5 mile hike in Oregon State Parks that will take about 2.5 hours to complete with Fido. Hiking along this trail will take you through open meadows and across a couple of water crossings. Be aware that much of this trail follows the road without a fence to block dogs from traffic. Please note that dogs must be on leash. Parking for the trailhead is located at Umatilla St & Weed Ave in Vernonia.
