Island Creek Forest Walk The Island Creek Forest Walk is an easy dog-friendly hike in Pollocksville, NC. This 0.5-mile hike is located within the Croatan National Forest and will take about 30 minutes to complete with Fido. The Croatan National Forest offers multiple opportunities for recreation including swimming, boating, fishing, and camping. This trail is well-shaded, but can still get pretty warm and mosquito-ridden in the summer, so be sure to pack plenty of water and bug spray.
