The Preserve Dog Park This beautiful off-leash dog park is a favorite with Davidson pooches for its lovely trails, nature areas, and drinking fountain. Fully fenced. The Preserve Dog Park is for Davidson residents only, and pets must be licensed and have current rabies vaccinations. Licenses may be purchased at Davidson Town Hall for $10. See Details

Jetton Park This 104-acre park features several walking paths/trails, including one that runs along Lake Norman, that welcome leashed dogs. Park is open from March 1 through October 31. There is a $3 entry fee for county residents and $5 for non-county residents. See Details
Lake Norman State Park Lake Norman State Park is great place to hike and explore. There are a total of four trails to hike on and three picnic areas throughout the park. Historic Latta Plantation Historic Latta Plantation is pet-friendly. Located in Huntersville near Mountain Island Lake, this 1800s Federal style plantation building contains some elements of Georgian design, including the house's main staircase. Leashed dogs are welcome on the trails and grounds of this property, but not inside any of the buildings.
