Even though pet adoptions have been on the rise, there are still thousands of pups waiting to find forever homes. These adorable adoptable dogs are available this month at different shelters and rescues across the country.

Walk off into the sunset with your canine superstar on the Illinois & Michigan Canal NHC.

Dolly Parton knows only too well that “if you want the rainbow, you’ve got to put up with the rain.” Be her rainbow and bring her home here. Adoption fees are $400.

Hopeful Tails Animal Rescue makes a difference in the lives of abandoned, abused and neglected animals by rescuing pups and providing necessary medical care to help them flourish.

Great stories don’t always start well, but they usually have a happy ending. Adorable senior Winnie was recently dumped from a moving car in a church parking lot. Fortunately, a good samaritan witnessed this deplorable act and stepped in to save the day. Winnie is now staying at Poodle and Pooch Rescue in Orlando, FL. She loves other dogs and would easily fit into a family home with children.

Take Winnie on an adventure to nearby Park of the Americas.

Give Winnie the home she deserves and adopt her here. Her adoption donation is $250.

Poodle and Pooch Rescue is run entirely by volunteers who do it for the love of dogs. The organization’s mission is to save as many “leftover” dogs as possible, which includes senior pups and those with special needs.

Unlike his gangster namesake, Capone is a lovable senior who wouldn’t hurt a fly and loves to cuddle on the couch. This calm canine is currently staying at Rescue Ranch in Yreka, CA, where he patiently waits for a home to enjoy his golden years.

Drive to the coast with your new gang member and enjoy the redwood trails at Trees of Mystery and SkyTrail.

To welcome Capone to your home, go here. Adoption fees are $200 for adult dogs, which help fund the costs of rescue and rehabilitation.

Rescue Ranch is a no-kill shelter that provides quality care for dogs while working to make a difference in the pet overpopulation problem. Due to its location in California, Rescue Ranch sees a big influx in rescued and surrendered animals during wildfires. The organization has established a special wildfire fund that you can donate to here.

Waffle is a fun-loving furball who’s ready to start her next chapter with a new family. While she waits to find a home, she’s staying with Acadiana Animal Shelter in Carencro, LA.

Let Waffle off-leash at Beaullieu Park Dog Park in the nearby town of Lafayette.

Waffle is ready for you to set up a meet and greet here. Adoption fees are $150.

Acadiana Animal Aid (AAA) is the region’s leader in animal transport, adoption, and education. For the last 44 years, the organization has been rescuing pets from five primary municipal shelters and assisting in finding them new homes.

Joker is ready to put a smile on his new family’s face. This senior dog staying at Animal Rescue League Boston would love a quiet home where he can be the center of attention. You can laugh on long walks or roll around in the grass with your hysterical hound. He enjoys being the center of attention and doesn’t like sharing, so a home without children or other dogs would be best.

Skip over to Peter’s Park with your funny furball for some off-leash fun.

If you want to make a home for Joker, go here. Adoption fees are $250.

Animal Rescue League Boston finds homes for thousands of needy animals each year. While most shelters focus solely on physical rehabilitation, the ARL places every pooch into their Shelter Behavior and Enrichment program to ready them for a new life and family.
