Whether you’re planning a low-key celebration with your best friend or attending an unforgettable “pawty,” here’s how to ring in the New Year with your Newfoundland.

When the clock strikes 12 (or a few hours before), it’s time to pop bottles with your pup. This Dog Pawrignon Yellow Champagne is a healthy, non-alcoholic beverage made with salmon oil, organic food coloring and water. If Fido is starting Dry January early, he might prefer a Mutt and Chandog Barking Bubbly Squeaky Plush Dog Toy instead. Don’t forget to look the part with this Champagne Bubbles & Dog Snuggles Tee that perfectly suits the occasion.

New Year, New Fido

Last year’s resolutions started off so well, but how many of them were you able to keep? We're sure this year will be different. Grab a pen and paper, sit down with Fido on NYE, and scribble down your joint resolutions for 2022. In the new year, will you get active, eat healthier, exercise, dedicate time to self-care, or simply spend more time together?

Tennis Ball Drop

More than one billion people tune in for the Times Square Ball Drop around the world each year, but it’s not the most captivating watch for canine viewers. When the clock strikes midnight, start the year off the right way by releasing a bunch of tennis balls and watching your dog’s joyous reaction. Snowbirds and Sunshine State natives who don’t feel like cleaning up all those tennis balls can belly up to The Dog Bar in St. Petersburg for a memorable New Year’s Eve Bash on December 31, 2021. Fuel your night with food truck favorites until 10 p.m., then join the “pawtrons” for a champagne toast and a ball drop with a bucket of balls tossed into the fenced yard at midnight.

Dinner “Pawty”

Dress Fido up in his best tux for the black tie event of the year. Share a sophisticated celebration that combines fine food (burgers?) with a first-class drink (beer, anyone?) and exquisite company.

Movie Night

From “When Harry Met Sally” to “Forrest Gump,” it’s always exciting to see New Year’s Eve on the big screen. Before the countdown begins, chill out with 10 of the best dog movies on Netflix at home. California canines can join other fans of the silver screen at the Hotel del Coronado for New Year’s Eve Movie on the Beach. This year’s event kicks off with a screening of “Big,” followed by the Times Square Ball Drop on the big screen at 9 p.m. Guests can snuggle with their pups around a private bonfire and enjoy s’mores, relax in a beach daybed or watch the show from a Del Beach sand chair. The night’s festivities end with beach fireworks, so you may want to head home after the ball drops. General admission is $25 per person. Dogs view for free.

“Pawjama” Party

Check everything off this list while wearing matching pajamas and a big smile on your face. There’s no need to dress to impress this year. Live your best life and snuggle up with your pup for a “pawjama” party that’s worthy of 2022.
